HOW DO I DO THE EXERCISES?

There are six forms of interaction: graps, choice llist, multiple choice, jumble, matching and text boxes.
Graps
When you see a dotted line, you need to fill something in. Type your answer and press the ENTER key to confirm your answer.
Choice list
In some exercises you need to fill in the graps with words from a list at the top or on the right of the exercise field. Place the cursor in the grap and click on the correct answer in the list. The word from the list will automatically appear in the grap.
Multiple choice
There are three types of multiple choice exercises.
Type 1: You choose the answer from a drop-down list with two or more possibilities. Click on the arrow (on the right) to open the list, then click on the answer you thing is correct. If your answer appears in green in the list, it is correct. If it appears in red, it is incorrect.
Type 2: You choose one answer from a list of two or more possibilities with radio buttons next to them. Click on the button next to the answer you think is correct. If a green box appears around the list of possible answer, your answer is correct. If a red box appears, it is wrong.
Type 3: You choose one or two more answers from a list of possibilities with check boxes next to them. Click on the check box(es) next to the answer(s) you think is/are correct. Then, click on "check" to see whether your answer is correct or not.
Jumble
In a jumble exercise you need to put items (words, sentences, pictures,...) in the correct order. First drag the item you want to put first to the first position, then drag the secon item, etc. until all the items are in the correct order. Click on "check" to see whether your answer is correct or not. Once you have clicked on "check", you can't change the order of the items anymore, unless the exercise allows you more than one trial.
Maching
In this type of exercise you match items from different rows or columns that belong together. Click on a item from the first column and them on the item from the second (and sometimes third) column that matches. Continue until all corresponding items from the different columns match. Then, click on "check" to find out whether your answer is correct or not.
Text boxes
Some questions need to be answered with a complete sentence or with a text. In that case a text box follows the question. Type your sentence or text in the box. A counter at the bottom of the screen indicates how many words you have typed. In the text box use the ENTER key to go to the next line. When you have finished your text, click on OK to confirm your answer. Your answer will not be corrected on screen, but will be saved together with your other answers.

When you have completed an exercise:

* Once the entire exercise has been completed, the result will be saved automatically. The message "saved!" will appear at the bottom of the page.
* If you wish to submit the results before completing the exercise, you will have to click on the "submit" buttom in order to submit your answers and to save the results.
* After the results has been saved, automatically or via the "submit" button, the "answers" button appears. If you click on it, the correct answers will appear in green.
* Click on the "print" button to print a finished exercise showing both your answers and the correct answers.

Click on "continue later" if you haven't finished your exercise. Next time you open the same exercise, you'll see the items you have already filled in and you can continue with the rest of the exercise.

IS EVERYTHING CLEAR? You can always click on the "help" button for specific information or ask your English teacher.
